5 days a week I eat lunch here at my desk while working on thru "lunchbreak". Today was a big salad w/ranch dressing and a roll from Shoney's. What's for lunch at your desk? p.s. Can ya tell I need a mental break?

I went to the eye doctor for my exam and to get new glasses. Just got back to my desk. I need to go to the break room, get a Dt. Choke Coke and a bag of chips to tide me over until dinner tonight.

I'm usually too busy at work to have my lunch break - which is 15 minutes - so I snack on dry dates, cashew nuts and things like that. Today was no different... It's not an ideal situation, but I cannot do anything about that right now. In the past, when I was not that busy, I brought yummy rye bread sandwiches with me from home and when I was in training and 45(!) lunch break, I had the time to eat nicely pasta and vegetables. Well, I'm not a desk jockey, but I'm just gonna go ahead and substitute "working stiff." Usually a Jose Ole steak and cheese chimichanga from home and a cup of coffee...(seeing as I get free Alterra coffee, working at a coffee shop.) Maybe a bagel occasionally. I'll tell ya, the owners come up with some awesome flavored lattes. Nutty Irishman? 1/2 shot Hazelnut syrup, 1/2 shot Irish Cream syrup, 2 shots espresso, steamed milk. Nummy.

What the heck is a cheese chimichanga? I'm guessing it's something we don't get here - just like those Crunchy bars you can't get there. LOL! Carol
