New Member Soon?

So my friend called me today complaining about these bad sinus headaches "that wake him up in the night" and then proceded to describe to me a pretty typical clusterheadache attack.
I told him it would be pretty rare for both of us to have them, since they are pretty rare in the first place and most people don't know anyone who ahs them much less 2 people who have them.
But he said 10 years ago they got so bad he went to the doctor and he gets them like every 7 years or so and he decribed the textbook clusterheadache.
I told him to come here and look at the symptoms page and stuff to see what he though. Oh yeah, and I told him to go to my neuro, who he also knows from our men's group.
As bad as I feel that "another one bites the dust" it was pretty entertaining and mildly humerous to listen to his account of his "sinus headaches" and he went through symptom after sympom and described triggers and the whole she-bang.......

On the other hand, what better gift to give a buddy then an accurate diagnosis, then open up the world of CH.com to him! I don't think he could have gotten any luckier in the friendship department!

It is up to YOU to educate yourself and then help your doctor plan your treatment. If you just sit down in front of your doctor and say "make me better" you are setting yourself up for a great deal of pain.

He may have gotten lucky with friends, but he will wish he was luckier in his head if things end up the way I think they will..........
Even so - 7 years between cycles. I know a FEW people who would like to be in his "headache" shoes!
