Do you know I didn't know until now what that was? It woke me up last night and scared the living daylights out of me. I've got pictures on the floor in my living room this morning and the cat flap was rattling like a good un! My bed was shaking and the windows were "humming" It was really quite horrible and I didn't know until I came downstairs this morning if I'd dreaed it or not. Even then I just wondered how the pics were on the floor! Of course the bloody kids slept right through it! Argh!

Ok Britts! Everyone check in. I'm glad to see you two are ok. Though once the Cali folks get up I'm sure they'll be wondering what all the fuss is about -Dennis-

From what it said it's going to have hit mostly the midlands. I'm about 45 minutes from where the epicentre was. That's the second earthquake we've had sinc eI have lived here, the last was 5 years ago and that was quite scary too.

We have had only one quake back in 2000 near Ottawa, Ontario and we felt it where we live here. But we live on the Canadian Shield (rock) so all we felt was a little motion movement, if that makes sense. We had a waterbed at the time and the water was moving which seemed a little weird. You guys be careful.

Personally I think it was ol Ting Tong farting. The sentence "It was his natural fault" just points firmly to that conclusion don't you think? They don't call Hertfordshire the sulphur capital of Britain without just cause y'know....

Glad to hear everyone's okay. We don't get many here, but we had one a week or so ago that was centered in Wells, Nevada. Lots of damage there (it was a 6.3 ) but no damage here that I know of. Best wishes, George
