My third son, Michael, just completed testing for the Aurora Police Department Cadet program!  He has been accepted, pending lie detector and psychological testing, for their training program, which encompasses two years of paid college, plus paid on the job training during those two years.

It doesn't guarantee hiring at the end of the training, but it does give preference, and as they have been understaffed for the last several years I don't think he will have a problem.

He is a good kid that has been working toward this for a couple of years now, and I couldn't be prouder!

Congrats on this son too! 28 years as a deputy and I still can't imagine doing anything else. Hope he ends up loving it as much as I have.
