While looking around on Liveleak to see if there were any more videos of the big fireball that lit up the Pacific Northwest on Tuesday morning ( http://www.kptv.com/news/15340521/detail.html ) I ran across this stunning CG animation of the effects that a planetoid-sized asteroid would have if it struck the earth. Just another Ragnorak to fret about. http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=a87_1198833781 Best, George

Ah! The foreigners put on such airs Wearing the tangerine suits And their harlequin eyes. The pain they inspire Draws in harmonica melodies And the feathers of birds Which flame up at their touch. It all comes to light in the sheer Debonair. (Ellen)

My son lives in Spokane. He called me last night and said on his way to school, he saw a meteor flying through the sky, then Boom! I was wondering if anyone else who lives in the Northeast saw it. Beth
