I wanted to share a couple of pictures my brother-in-law Mike took on his weekend trip to Victoria Falls. He is currently stationed in South Africa as an Embassy guard for the USMC. Here ya go... Arn't the falls just gorgeous??

Great pictures, Mel. It makes me think of Richard Francis Burton and John Hanning Speke seeing Victoria Falls for the first time. Your photos look a lot like the drawings in "Lake Regions of Central Africa"--it seems the falls are little changed since the 19th century. Pretty cool. Best wishes, George

I can HEAR the falls from here ! Great pictures!!! Thank you so much for sharing these, Mel! It made me cry happy tears. I've been to Vic Falls and it is one of the most awesome and beautiful places on the planet! I love it there. It's one of those places that once you see it, you always carry it with you.
