Lobster is a lot like crawfish. Have you had them? Neither of them is fishy and chowder is quite delightful if make correctly. (I am a cheap (*thrifty*) woman so I would rather catch the crawfish and cook them then pay as much as I'd have to to buy a lobster)

There's lobster and then there's LOBSTER. What you get down here in and from Florida is rather tasteless and certainly not sweet. I only order when the menu says "Maine lobster". Then....oh heaven. The steamed little neck clams down here are something to die for tho! Any of you ever have a clam bake? I mean in a huge steamer with layers of corn, chicken, clams, sweet potatoes? We used to have them regularly in Ohio, but you can't even rent a steamer let alone buy a one down here. My mouth is watering.

Florida lobsta is rock lobsta. Kind of stringy for my taste. We have clam bakes and boils all summer long.

Razor clams and quahogs are similar. They're bivavles. One tastes the same, the other tastes different. It's decoded by proscribed methodology Raw steamed and roasted. RJ

Woobs, the taste is more along the lines of crab than shrimp, but more dense meat and richer. I love lobster.

The claws are edible and the tail is too. There is a little waste when you boil them yourselves so the price is less. Not to mention the labor that goes into cooking and cleaning. You should have a store in town with a live lobster tank that you can go pick out dinner

If you don't like tammale, I probably wouldn't like it either, so thanks but I don't want your tammale. I will try the other edible parts tho.
