Rice and boiled ground beef (boil and drain well...to get all the grease out)... the sick dog diet.

Oh, after she eats, lock her in the teenager's room, just in case.  Wink

Nani's idea of rice is good.  Also, if you have cerial that isn't loaded with sugar you can use some of that.  Biscuts or crackers will work too or a mix and match.

Well, rice will fill her up, but some adding some protein is better. Any other lean beef might be OK. The ground beef and rice dish is what I've had to feed sick dogs on vet's orders... so I'm not sure about other meat.

Since your daughter cannot/will not shovel the drive-way..make her walk to the nearest store to buy the dog food.

Walking helps with cramps and the cold will help with the attitude/PMS

My dog prefers scrammbled eggs and toast. Our dog  wont go for the rice unless I add chicken stock or a little something to flavor it up.  Roll Eyes

Since my dog has all kinds of allergies, I cook all of her food.  Her favorite is boiled chicken, sweet potato and green beens or sweet peas.

She also does well on  fish (I just microwave it), white potatoes, rice, to name a few.  She loves apples, bananas and pears. She loves sugarfree oatmeal with very little milk and eggs.   She can't eat turkey, wheat or beef.  Lamb is excellent on their stomaches, but it's too expensive.

Just be careful that the dog doesn't eat any seeds, pits, or grapes.  Onions result in pancreatitis (or kidney failure)..I don't remember which.  Chocolate can cause a high blood pressure crisis and arrhythmia.

Hope this helps.

Poor pup!!!!! You have been given lots of good advice. I sympathize, I have to change Maddies food so slowly and we even had issues as a puppy with the different water from her breeder. Let's hope the snow melts soon!

I'm only guessing, but I would tend to think that oatmeal cooked with some beef or chicken boullion might get you threw the rough part till you can get to the store?

Well, she's OK........
she had rice and chicken......... she loved it.  she's happy.  We fed it to her a little at a time.. just to make sure she didnt get sick...

And as for the teenager..................

those smart ass comments got her nowhere with me today...

I made her shovel, and after two trips out there, the neighbor felt sorry for her and brought over the snowblower and did our whole driveway (it's HUGE!)......... Cool

she comes in with a smug ass look on her face...
SO - and i made her clean the kitchen... spotless, and then, when she was done with that and she was REALLY pissed off, I made her fold and put away ALL the laundry that I did today (about 5 loads...)

she got away with NOTHING today!
She went to bed at 8pm... exhausted.

I WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wink

OH - and Thanks for the help...
we've never ran out of food for her before.. geesh.

I'm glad that your dog is nicely fed now. Smiley

I have guinea pigs and they are much easier; give them a peeled carrot few times a day, bit of broccoli and sometimes salad and they are happy "piggies". Cool
