Thank you Ray!

I’ve been getting breakthrough HAs since my cycle ended in November. They come every weekend on Saturdays and Sundays like clockwork at 7am. In the last two weeks O2 hasn’t been enough to knock them down. The last two weeks I had to resort to triptans. I was headed in a bad direction. Ray reached out and he and I exchanged a few e-mails. Ray suggested that it might be the disruption of my schedule on the weekends. I sleep till 7 or 8 on the weekends (horrors!) while I get up at 4:30 during the week. Ray though that the delay in getting that morning cup-a-joe cold be the trigger for my attacks. Ray, you’re a freakin genius! I forced myself to get up at 5:30 this morning and down a big ole cup a joe. No headache! Unbelievable! I’ve been messing with diet, cutting alcohol consumption, increasing water intake … everything but skipping the extra sleep and getting that early morning cup-a-joe. We have a really good glass lined carafe that kept the coffee hot from when I made it yesterday at 4pm. Poured the coffee, plopped myself onto the couch, fired up ch.com and chugged it. Been PF and catching up on posts all morning. THANK YOU RAY!!!! -Dennis-

Dear Dennis and Cluster Family: It's nice to catch one and help another clusterhead. It does me so much good to help, I can't quite express it. I know that you've only had one day that's been clear Dennis, but I truly hope and pray that this change is permanent and headache proof! Wishing all of you the best, Ray

| Right you are my friend. I don't want to count my chickens before they've hatched here either but I just can't believe the difference I feel today. We'll see tomorrow and next weekend. Hell, I could be drinking beer again by the end of the month -Dennis-

Lisa was having a similar problem with her asthma her freshman year of college. Sat. was bad and she often ended in the ER Sat. nights. Her doctor told her it was because she was sleeping in ( almost until noon) and not getting her 7 am meds. The solution was to set her alarm and go back to sleep if she had to have the extra sleep. I guess you can't go back to sleep after a cup of coffee. I hope your success continues! Charlotte

After going to bed at 11pm Friday night and last night a little cup of coffee didn't keep me from going back to sleep this morning. Still no CH. Gotta love it! -Dennis-
