i've just read a tragic post on the guestbook. I've written to this lady as she doesn't live far from me to offer an ear - I just want you all to read this and realise how lucky we are to have the support and love we get here.. pick up your oar and row 'cos there are too many stories like this. Helen PS Oh - and I just wanted to tell you all I love you Quote:hello to you all. i do not suffer from this dreadful dreadful beast. but i was a full time carer for my husband for 9yrs who did, he had chronic clusters for almost 24hrs a day for those 9yrs. to watch someone you love suffer is torture, we lived in total darkness for those 9yrs, he ended up virtually bed ridden addicted to morphine, pethadine to name but a few the poor poor soul. all i could do for him was to be there sitting quietly, crying for him at times and with him at times, and fighting for treatment and for a little understanding from some of the medical doctors who just dont understand the meaning of chronic cluster headaches, one called my husband a dirty junkie who just wanted the morphine etc to feel dozy and cozy in bed. sadly my husband took his own life in 2002 he just could not take it any more. do i blame him not at all, did he commit a selfish act i dont think so. he was and is the bravest man i know. a tortured soul on this earth. just want you people to know my heart goes out to you and carers alike. i still get flash backs to those awful nights the screaming of help me god help me the head banging and the begging for me to get him help and the feeling of being absolutely helpless. i hope you all receive pfds soon. |

How horribly tragic. Hope you can get through to this lady Helen. Sounds like she really could use a person like you in her life. Love you too, short stuff! Carol

Bless her heart....and his. This is a pitiful and sad story. Like Dennis said.....wish they would have found us sooner. It could have made a big difference. My heart breaks for her....for them both. I witnessed Blake for 15 years of chronic suffering....day after day, year after year. I'm not sure either of us would have made it without you all.... (Jonny. ..I'll love you forever...shitbird that you are... ) Helen, we love you too....a bunch! Much love... Jackie

That is so sad.... I wish they would have found their way here in time... maybe this community could have made all the difference. Now, let's take a good care of each other. Sanna

How utterly sad. Wish he would've found this site and received the help we all have received here. So sad. Helen, thanks for posting this and for trying to connect with her. Love, Langa
