Is the snow really piled that high or is that an optical illusion? How do the trucks get the snow to pile up that high? I just can't picture how the snow is removed and put on top of those high piles.

Svenn, that's insane amount of snow! We have plenty of snow in Jyväskylä as well and more is on its way as I type; it's been snowing since morning. Well, snow is much better than rain - we'll be having that tomorrow... Sanna

| Well stop. They proabably don't have internet access there and we would never see you again. Start dreaming of somewhere in the U.S. Arizona, New Mexico, California or Texas.

| Svenn (and we) are in luck. http://www.lareau.org/pitc.html Quote:Earthquakes and the Pitcairn Internet Pitcairn gets its new connection to the Internet due to a seismic station being placed on the island by the Albuquerque Seismological Laboratory. They have a network of seismological stations around the world that feed data in via satellite. That satellite connection is shared with the Pitcairn residents to connect to the Internet. You can see the seismic data from the Pitcairn Island Station, and it's updated every 30 minutes. |

Just beautiful Svenn! I'm moving to Norway. My God that's what I call snow. Not much at all so far here about 75 miles south of Buffalo. The 60 mph winds knocked out power and felled a lot of trees along Lake Erie especially. So far all we have here is a few inches of snow and lovely freezing rain. Hate that stuff. Thanks Svenn I needed that. We have nothing on you. Charlie
