It sowned in Ga yesterday !

You know what they say about when it snows in Ga. We don't know how to drive. Well we don't know how to walk either. It started snowing about 4 pm. My grandson was having a fit to go out. I knew it wasn't cold enough to stay long. His Mom wouldn't be home until 6 or there of. We got our coats and gloves on and pulled the cam out. We had a ball. JD ran and played. Then we started throwing snow balls. I ran up the hill to get some snow off a bench. I went throw it and I lost my balance and went head over first. Landed on my arm then bounced like a basket ball and landed on my leg. Yep I was in the ER all night. Broke my right leg right above the ankle, its a clean break, they put a cast on it around 4 am this morning. The left arm is another story. I have a appointment with a bone doctor. They think I broke it in a couple of places. Just my luck. On Top of that I can't find my cam I had it in the pocket of my coat when I fell. Maybe now that the snow has melted I will find it. I bet it is so wet it won't ever work again. ;-( Oh and I took the computer to Marys before I became a kid again. I did get her set up. She has never used a computer before so teaching her how is kind of slow. It started snowing before we could make her an account here and we lost internet connection. It maybe a few days before I can get back over there and help her. Her son knows about computers he will be there this week end. Maybe they will be on line this week end. I am going to bed ! I been up all night and the pain meds are kicking in !

Oh for the luv of God! You poor thing! Please heal quick... that really sucks. You're getting some prayers coming your way and although I would caution you to be careful I would be remiss in not mentioning that you should NEVER lose your playful spirit. with warm regards, Tony

LOL! Elaine!! If there's a disaster, you wanna piece of it, doncha! I'll admit, we are the same here in Or, if it snows here,we're out in it, whether we know the consequences or not. Well, I am sorry about the pain , the good news is, this will keep you a bit closer to home, and posting here more often........and the family will have to take care of YOU for awhile. When cabin fever sets inCopelin on you and you can share war stories!! Now, take good care of you, let us know if you anything at all, and get that arm taken care of, ok? Coping vibes floating on the snowflakes to ya girl! Cathi

Thanks everyone I can always use the prayers. I was up all day yesterday. Then all night at the ER. I made Buddy go sleep in the truck. He brought me home, and headed out to work. I tried to lay down but the Doctors office called, they moved my appointment up. Buddy had to come back and get me. Then we went to the doctors office and we sat and sat. Finally they took me. It is a clean break. I now have a cast on my arm and leg. Talk about hard to balance. The cast on my arm seems light but the leg cast feels like lead. Buddy went to get us some BAR B QUE so as soon as he gets back I plan on eating. I am so hungry, I could eat the whole pig. I done got so tired everything is funny except the pain. I don't want to take the med till I eat something. My cam well its gone. My new dog found it before we did. Yep I got a new dog, found her half starved on the side of the road. she chews everything, and she digs holes in the yard. She chewed up my glasses last week, now she chewed up the cam. I guess she figured it was in her yard it was hers. It more than likely was ruined from the snow and rain anyway. My biggest worry is how the hell am I going to bath and wash my hair? That should be fun. I am not believing I did this, guess it could have been worst. Well foods here, let me hobble into the kitchen and eat! Then I plan to pass out for the night. I will figure the bath out tomorrow I am to tired tonight.

Dang, 'Lainey... you couldn't just let the snow get the attention, could ya? Seriously, sweetie... I'm sending prayers, and vibes, and I'd come over and wash your hair if I could. Left arm and right leg... do you have a hand held shower attachment? At least you can use a crutch, I guess. Lots of love and healing vibes, nani

| Jimbo just told me to tell you this, "Jimbo: tell her to hire the male dancers to come bathe and wash her hair, "Thunder from Down Under" lol"! He[[s bells! And here I've been pissing and moaning about my *bad* luck! Ah, now bathing and hair washing are going to be fun! This is where your lovely husband and daughter are going to have to lend you a hand. Get a big garbage sack for your leg and a smaller one for your arm. If you have some big rubber bands, use them to seal the garbage bags off. It ain't the best way to go, but it's your only way. When I had surgery on my right hand, Jimbo had to help me bathe and wash my hair. I still say he was trying to drown me Here's hoping that you heal fast! Carolyn
