I was in a deli in NY and some guy ordered Liverwurst and Peanut Butter and the Mamaluke behind the counter says " smooth peanut butter or with nuts ?" I walked out and had a stomach ache all day.

Tony, I love fried baloney with fried peppers, eggs on an Italian roll with a hot cup of java. Do you use mustard or mayo with your sandwich? I knew we had more in common than CHs...

Tony that sandwish of your's sounds gorgeous. I adore mustard but I prefer seedy mustard too. That yellow wallpaper paste called French's is just vile. I think it was liverwurst I had at Pauls - with some really gorgeous mustard and pickles and onions and tomatoes - now THAT was gorgeous. He made me some weird shit fried sandwich too which I cannot remember for the life of me what was in it but it was lovely (I kid you not - a FRIED SANDWICH LMAO!) Peanut butter with cheddar, peanut butter with marmalade, peanut butter and banana - all yummy as is peanut butter and chicken (its just like satay when alls said and done!) banana and chicken is only like what we call chicken maryland Yorkie - that's yummy too! Turkey stuffing and cranberry sauce is a favourite of mine as is roast pork stuffing and applesauce. Jasper loves cheddar and heinz tomato ketchup. Barney adores peanut butter and strawberry jam and Brid is the most ordinary as she loves ham and cheese in a croissant. (Yuk!! I only like them sweet!) 'course you can't beat an English bacon sarnie on a ciabatta roll (Just in case Paul is reading this - that'll wipe the smile off his face LOL)

A bubble and squeak sammich You take your left overs from T-giving or Christmas dinner (all of them) put them in a fry pan, sautee, load between 2 slices of bread of your choice or leftover dinner rolls and douse with gravy. Then proceed to bubble and squeak all day Cat

Liverwurst, Braunschweiger - yuk. No organ meats for this boy. I ain't eatin' what was once secretin'. I rarely make one of my faves, but I should. It's the Kinsey Millhone special. Sliced hard-boiled eggs, lots of mayo, and big slices of dill pickle on white bread. Essentially egg salad without all the mixing. When I make egg salad I use chopped eggs, mayo, dijon mustard, and chopped green olives with pimento.

My favorite Sandwich, mom always made this for me when I was a kid. Chocoladehagel on toast with butter. Translated in English is Chocolate sprinkles made in Holland, very good. Love Chocolate any way I could get it. When we ran out of Hagelslag I would use Coco and sugar on toast. YUM

| This is an open pickle crock. You fill the bottom of the crock with fresh dill, and pearl onions. Layer and pack tightly 3/4 of the way to the top of the crock with cuckumber pickles. Put a ehavy plate over the top and weigh it down with a 1-2 lb. weight. Then fill the crock with the hot salt brine (the recipe of Mom's which I've yet to be able to find) and allow to ferment in a cool dry dark basement for 30-60 days depending how sour you want them. No vinigar needed the fermentation sours them all on it's own.

Chey... I must be a plain-jane what comes to my taste in sandwiches! Saturday Special (as dad made it back in my childhood): toast with bit of butter, then thin slice of ham and then fried egg. Yum! These days I make version of it: the toast is rye, there's still bit butter but no ham and the egg is boiled and then sliced. Delicious.... I did try it once with fried tomato and it suited as well. UK treat: I loved egg-watercress sandwiches with as dark bread as I could get! Everyday sandwich: slice of rye bread, bit of butter, then sliced cucumber or tomato and voila, yummy treat is ready!
