Cyberbullying

There are several people who use these message boards who are unaware that cyberbullying is a crime punishable by law. The police have been notified and they are now monitoring the movements of said individuals for further attacks, not to mention this entire website. If they discover that the abuse inflicted by a few members of this site is actually a rampant problem, the site will be shut down. Honestly, I highly doubt that everyone on this site is a criminal abuser. But there are a few of them on this site that are ruining it for all of you. Trying to bait someone into suicide and trying to convince someone that suicide is the only answer to CH is sick. The police agreed with me. And it scares all of us to think how many CH sufferers may have indeed committed suicide after being bullied into it by a predator on this site. I don't accept that kind of abuse in my life, hence my contacting the police. They said I did the right thing, and that if more people reported computer crimes the Internet would be a lot safer. Hopefully it will make this site a safe place for people in the future, because it certainly is not now. For everyone on this site who is genuinely trying to help each other, please keep fighting the good fight! And if you run into more cyberbullies, report them to the police immediately. Be safe - and don't kill yourself, no matter how hard someone tries to convince you to!!

Welcome. Sorry you have to be here, but glad you found us. Are you chronic or episodic? Are you currently using any preventatives? What do you use to abort your attacks? Stick around. Read. Learn. Read some more. There's lots of great experience here to help you.

Dear Cyberpolice, As one of the "oldest" posters on this site, I think I can safely say that "sleeponhold" doesn't have a clue what the hell he/she is talking about. I have NO recollection of anyone bullying anyone into suicide (a few have been stopped over the years) or even suggesting it (it's NOT an option to CH). Now, if asking questions of a "new" poster constitutes bullying, then we'd all suggest that sleeponhold find another site to bug and get the hell off this one. Sincerely, Barbara D Disclaimer: The views of this poster do not necessarily represent the views of the entire site!

SLEEPONHOLD , Welcome . Sometimes we arrive here completely exhausted from battling the beast and very edgy . We check in and may feel we are getting less than the support the board can offer . When angry we strike out at others and make the board another battle ground . In anger we may say , FU and go back to the solitude of our pain and anger . The beast wants that cut off for you . Now I don't know you , but I've just described my early entry to this board . I did not want to be here , I did not want the pain ,I did not completely accept this illness . Out of pain and fatique , I found a reason not to be active here and lurked without posting for a couple of years . Shame on me......... There is all the help and support you could ever want here . You do have to remember , some of us are chronics , some of us are episodics : but none of us are cured . A certain amount of tention is always present here . Noone wants anyone to commit suicide. Pull up a chair and stay awhile . It's probably not a great idea to attack the board you need . All that matters is that you are here . Peace ............. phil h

I go away for a couple of dayz and look what happens. ok snooz on standby, Looking at what you have posted to date you arrived bitter demanding things and offering nothing. If you will sit down set up your icepack and O2, you will see that folks here dont respond well to unprovocked attacks(cyber bullying). Then to make threats (cyber bullying) shows you arrived with a mount rushmore sized chip. We all will talk and comfort as needed, some may not be the way you like but you are dealing with alot of people who are in pain too. I too had to have that point shook into me by the king, and that being said I now have the utmost respect for him and all others here. There is alot of advise and support offered here, and as a great CHer has said take what you need and leave the rest. I truly hope you find relief and support here, and I like others her offer it freely. Please accept what we offer and even though it may not be the perfect advise it is given with understanding and compassion. Thank you for letting me say my peice and I truly hope we can help. Mike

Wow! There is a whole lot more bitterness there than caused by CH. I don't know what would be worse, the CH or the bitterness to live with. I guess if I had a choice I would opt to live with CH. At least then I could appreciate friends, enjoy a nice sunrise and and know what it is like to be loved. -P.

sleeponhold, I've gone back several times and reread your original post (and the responses) and I can't for the life of me see where anyone bullied you (btw, I also did an extensive search on cyberbullying and can't rally find any references to where it applies to adults). Helen asked you a lot of questions, but no more than any other newbie is asked. If the members here can't find out what's been done, it ties their hands when it comes to helping. If all you wanted was someone to sympathize with you, all you had to do was say, "I don't want advice, don't need advice, all I want is someone who will commiserate wtih me on how bad this is". Yes, this is a support board, but it's also a place to learn more about your dx and quite possibly learn from the oldtimers that have been here since the inception of this board. Helen did nail you for your response about *migraines* and that was justly deserved.

Sleeponhold, Though i would like to say some less than nice things regarding your attitude, I will refrain. We understand your pain, and we understand the emotions which come up due to the pain. Together, we can all get through this. Just understand you are not alone. There is a tremendous amount of support here, as well as a large amount of sharing treatments which have or have not worked. Please do not use this site as a medical doctor, rather, maybe you can get ideas from here and then go talk to your doctor about the ideas for treatment. Only take advice from doctors which you hire to treat you. Relax. Believe in karma......energy you put out comes back to you in the same way. Welcome. B$

Sleeponhold, I have frequently visited this site for years now and quite many of them took place during the darkest hours of my life, thanks to ch and clusterblues, a form of depression I've dealed with since I got ch. Naturally I'm solely speaking for myself, but during my visits in here nobody has told me to kill myself, encouraged nor suggested it. Actually, quite the contrary - during my worst moments when I have been on my wits end, this site and the wonderful people in here have actually kept me alive! Thanks to their support, their wit, their excistance, I'm still here, alive and breathing and managed to overcome those suicidal thoughts I once had thanks to ch combined with clusterblues. I'm so sorry that you have ch and you're hurting. There are lots of amazing, supporting people in here. I hope that you will see that and concentrade on that. PF days, Sanna

Sleeponhold (aka Lisa from the Getting to Know Ya board). I'm sorry that you feel that you have been bullied here. I've read both threads completely through, and I cannot see where any bullying has taken place other than your beginning post on this thread. Nowhere in either thread did I read where anyone disputed your diagnosis of CH. The only things I read were constructive questions as to your current treatments, and past treatments. These questions were asked, and are asked of all newbies, just so we can get an idea of what you have tried in the past, what worked for you, what didn't work, and what suggestions we might make for you and your doctor to research that might help you. Above all, Lisa. Nowhere did I read any mention of anyone on this board suggesting suicide to you. As long time sufferers, many chronics for decades, we all know that suicide is NOT an option. We are not willing to do it to ourselves, and we most definitely do not promote it as an option to other CH sufferers. So, if, as you so clearly say here, that this option was promoted to you from this board, show us where. In other words, put your money where your mouth is. Now, all that being said. You came here to find friends, friends who understand what you are going through. Lisa, this is the right place for that. Only a Clusterhead can appreciate the pain, frustration, and anger that another Clusterhead suffers. If you are serious about finding friends here, lose the chip on your shoulder. You will find much more than just friends, you will find family. Sandy
