I would say although politically speaking, the father shouldnt do that, but the step son deserves it and maybe what he did would teach the teenager more than anything else the "justice" system can do. As a parent I can full understand why the father did it, I would probably do the same thing to anyone who dares hurt my children.

| The trouble with that is that the jury will be asked to determine if he committed a crime, not why he did. Not a smart move for a man who really should be there for his traumatized daughter. A crime is still a crime, and even though what he did was somewhat understandable... it was still wrong.

I have always said that a rapest should be raped back . HOW ELSE WILL THEY KNOW THE PAIN AND TERROR THEY CAUSE. I have never heard of it being done until now Good on the dad - and hoping the little girl recovers physicaly and mentaly. I know what I would do to the boy- something about a bacon slicer as my mum used to say, but the law doesn't seem to agree with me

| Oh, trust me, an 18 year old child rapist will be raped in prison. It probably won't keep him from raping again, though. If anything...he'll become more brutal.

I cannot see how the father's actions can be justified. Seriously - could any of you RAPE someone else? I could beat seven bales of spit out of someone who did that to my child.. but to actually do the same thing to them, to be physically able to (think about the actual act) - I couldn't do that. I couldn't degrade myself like that. If the father had beaten the kid to within an inch of his life I could understand it. To be as subhuman yourself? It's not like flicking the switch on someone, this is physical closeness with someone you abhor. I don't think I could ever have sex again. Just my two cents for what ever it's worth. Helen

| He sodomized the stepson, didn't say raped him. Probably used a broomstick. Either way I would have to agree with you. Throw his teenage ass in prison and let hm learn the hard way. He should have "child rapist" tattooed on his forehead and then let him go to prison and see how long he remains a but-hole vergin. -P.

| Texas is a whole other country Nani. The dad will walk and rightly so. The kid is lucky the step dad didn't kill him right off, I know I would have. I blame the mother for bailing the kid out, he warned her not to.
