Phone call and Kleenex

My phone rang tonight.  On the other end of the line was a lady who I now call my Sister and in the background was a man who I now consider my brother.

I haven't seen either of them or talked with them for a couple of months but our conversation picked up as if we were all together yesterday.

We talked briefly about CHs and then the conversation drifted off into discussions about family, friends, our dogs, the weather, how much snow we got last week, our plans to get together again, etc.

We both said our usual "I love you" to each other and I turned off the phone.

I went about my usual night time routine of letting the dogs outside for the last time tonight, making sure the doors were locked, getting the coffee pot set up to start perking at 5:00 AM etc and out of the blue, the tears started flowing.

I think at times we realize how much we mean to each other but there are certain lapses that happen where we may all unknowingly take each other for granted, get grumpy, fight and spat.

The phone call tonight...out of the blue made me realize what this family is all about.

Don't ever doubt the power of CH.com or what DJ has given us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tonight is one of those times for me too.

This is truly a family...and as for me, I can count on them more than I can count on my family. That says a lot.

Love ya Cyn,

I get the rolling eyes Roll Eyes from most of my family if I say I can't make it to a birthday get together or something because I was getting a hit. we all live within a couple of miles from each other. My Mom seems to be the only one that asks "how are your CH's?

This family knows exactly what we all go through. I am honored to be a part of this family, thanks DJ for creating a home for us all!! hug

I didn't get a phone call, I got a miracle.

Many here now weren't around back then, but I was hospitalized for a completely paralyzed intestinal system.

The GI doc said I was lucky I ever walked away.

Pages of prayers, vibes and well wishes from here and phone calls from loved ones here got me through.

Do NOT ever underestimate what this family can do.
