I just might make it

I belong to *the* Canon forum. Last year, for the first time, photographers on the foum submitted photographs, which went to a committee and from there, the members voted on them. All the photographs were put together in a hardbound book. I bought one last year and it's nice to be able to look through it and *know* who some of the photographers are.
Well, they're doing it again this year. I submitted photographs in 3 categories, Travel And Landscape, Nature And Animals and macro (should have submitted that one in the experimental/bw/still life catergory).
Anyway, unless things rapidly change (and we're almost half-way through the voting), the above shot will be published in the next volume.
This photograph is also the one that will be auctioned off at the convention. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Unless something drastic happens, that picture will be in the book. There were 149 pictures that were picked by the panel for the members to vote on. 41 (28%) of those will be in the book. I just looked (it's real hard not too look every day, sometimes more than once a day) and I'm tied with another photog for the 17th position (I was at 26 a few days ago). The voting ends on the 21st of January.
If anybody wants to buy a copy of the book when it comes out (there are some gorgeous photographs in there and there are two versions, one with nudes and one without), I'll put up the link (none of us or the owners of the POTN site make any money, the books are published on an *as ordered* basis).
