I've been quiet lately

I’ve been a little quiet on the board over the last few months, the reason! I’ve been renovating an old caravan to put on our property down south.
We have five acres north of Perth & plan to retire there in the next few years; when we go on holidays I like to get there & plant trees etc but the travelling from my daughters home to the property daily is time consuming & the cost of fuel is prohibitive hence the caravan so we can stay there & enjoy.
It’s fully plummed with pressure pump to shower kitchen etc, chemical toilet,gas stove, microwave, TV & 240 AC power.

Nice little retreat and George is right. I certainly haven't seen much of the scenery on the western side of down under. It would be interesting.

Yep it was a lot of work but I get a lot of enjoyment out of doing things like that & it keeps me out of trouble 
It is parked on the block now with the wheels off & sitting on blocks but is fully road worthy & registered so if I want to I can take it anywhere.

When you said caravan I thought, " This is their dream? I did not know a caravan in your country is what we call a RV or Motorhome here.

I will clear the time zone with what we call things here compared to elsewhere.
The Aussie Caravan
Box Trailer
Camper trailer
Camper Van: self contained self propelled
Semi Trailer: A prime mover pulling a single trailer
Road train: a prime mover pulling 2 or more trailers with the max being 4 trailers allowed in some states. And referred to as a double, triple & 4 up

Hope it is not too warm there, we went to -35C this morning, that is cold enough to make your nostrils stick together, then our power went out for a few hours, now it is getting a little warmer and starting to snow again! 
Ah, to live in a snowbelt !!
