Golf and Good Health

An 80 year old man went to the doctor for a check-up.  The doctor was amazed at the octogenarian's fitness.

"To what do you owe your good health?" queried the doctor.

"I'm a golfer, that's why I'm in good shape." quipped the old guy.  "I'm up well before daylight and out golfing up and down the fairways."

The doctor said, "Well, I'm sure that helps, but there's got to be more to it.  How old was your father when he died?"

"Who said my father's dead?" fired back the old man.

"You mean your father's still living?  How old is he?" the doctor asked.

"He's 100 years old, and in fact he played golf with me this morning." the old man proudly responded.  "That's why he's still alive, he's a golfer."

"That's fantastic" the doctor said, "but there's got to be more to it."  How old was your grandfather when he died?

"Who said my grandpa's dead?" fired back the old man.

"You mean your 80 years old and your grandfather is still living!  How old is he?"

"He's 118 years old." the old man said with a smile.

The doctor, getting frustrated at this point, wryly concluded, "I guess he went golfing with you this morning also."

"No," the old times said sadly, "grandpa couldn't go this morning because he got married."

"Got married!  Why would a 118 year old guy want to get married?" said the amazed doctor.

"Who said he wanted to?" shot back the old timer.

I saw an act of faith today. A man was on his knees, not in a pew in a Church, but in a garden planting seeds. ~~Unknown
