Tell us the med regime that you are on right now. Any time one of us gets a true breakthrough, it can’t be posted enough. However, we all know that what works for one ClusterHead, doesn’t work for all of us!
I went back and read your first posts, from your link (oh, so that’s how you’re supposed to start on this board) and I see the references to Maxalt, Zomig and Imitrex (50mg) pills. As pointed out in that thread, it has to be so much because it has to get through the digestive system.
In cycle, I take quick dissolving triptan tablets that enter the body under the tongue, bypassing the digestive system, enabling you to take less total drug and have it delivered faster. Faster is the key word for ClusterHeads. I use either Maxalt MLT 10mg or Zomig ZMT 5mg if I'm in a “Big One”, then if I’m around my tank I hit the Oxygen. I am one of the lucky ones, since I first got meds in my 2000 cycle, this has always aborted for me. I think the max time was 22 mins. of descending pain. And this is waking up with a full blown Cluster at night, not the sneak-up-on-you during the day bastards which at least give you some warning.
Have you tried Vitamin C?
