How do you make those little boxes that you put the quotes in. I just learned to paste stuff. But I don't have a clue about the little boxes to put it in.

I'm 'puter illerate. I was born in one of the "earlier" generations where computers were on the "Silver Screen" in Sci Fi shows. Nobody thought they'd really ever be in the living room.... Of course I had to walk 10 miles to school in the snow, barefooted...... blah blah blah

Somebody tell me how to do the little boxes....

Quote:
You click on the second row, second button from the right.  That will give you the quote tags.  What you put inside the tags will appear in the box.  You can type in text such as I am doing now OR you can do a cut and paste of someone else's text like this....How do you make those little boxes that you put the quotes in. I just learned to paste stuff. But I don't have a clue about the little boxes to put it in.

To cut and paste simply hit cntrl + C buttons after you have high lighted the text you want copied.  Then move the cursor to where you want the text placed such as inside the quote tags and hit cntrol + V keys.  Hope this helps.

Another way is

a) hit "Quote" in the upper right corner of the post you'd like to quote.

b) If you want the entire post to be quoted, go to step d)

c)  If you only want to quote part of the post, delete the unwanted text.    (don't forget to leave the [ quote ] and [ / quote ] tags there.)

d) When  finished, optionally preview, then post.

Did I do this right. It showed one thing and now it doesn't make sense. Guess we'll see when I post it. Linda how are you doing with it....
