OKMidwest Meet and Greet.....

I thought I'd post this here, this came out of a long dicussion, I think we have decided (HOPE) anyway if you didn't see it in the meet and greet section here it is::
OK
GREAT NEWS TINA WILL BE HOSTING THE MIDWEST MEET AND GREET, I might give her a hand.
WHEN: January 10th and 11th (Check in at 2pm)
WHERE: SteepleGate Inn (100 W. 76th st. Davenport, IA)
I Spoke with the GM at the SteepleGate For about an hour today and got us some great rates, This is a very nice hotel, with a great bar, very nice restaurant, large indoor pool with alot of tables and lounge areas, I explained the purpose of our meeting and he was very helpful, not to mention I personally know the owner, who never goes there, but I did drop the name LOL

With the use of this type hotel the won't be much reason to have to leave, everything we need will be there.
Rates are $99.00 single occupancy, However I was able to negotiate these rates
Hows $64.00 double occupancy sound and that includes a killer breakfest buffett.
Here's the catch we need to book 10 rooms so I need to know AS SOON AS POSSIBLE how many of you will be in attendence.
I'm going to post this in general post as well

Gena, I think we're still waiting, to see if the dates and location is ok with everyone.
I haven't heard anyone say that it was a problem, but it doesn't look (at least at this point) like we are gonna fill 10 rooms

People have emailed me and asked and I have NO idea.........
When do you have to know??
Ramon and I can get a room there...... and if someone else needs it - or can show up - they can have it. If no one needs it - we'll just stay.
We have a lot of other places we can stay...... my parents.. friends... so if someone can show up at the last minute.. they're more than welcome to our room.
It'll be like a reserve room. No biggie - if that'll help get the 10 rooms. We're half way there.. right??
Still havent heard from some people.......give it a couple days........
I'm having issues with my computer (on another one right now). I have to reformat.....so I may not be online until tomorrow.......... SUCKS!!!

Well, The GM of the hotel wanted me to let them know by Friday (that's today) but I think he was just trying to lock us in, I'm quite sure if we let him know in a week or so it will be fine.
Also, if we only need like 7 or 8 rooms he may let it slide, we just need to get a count and let him know. When we talked he just threw out that number so I'm not sure how solid the 10 rooms thing is.

LOL

Clark will be TDY for the month of January, so for one I'll be a single parent that month, and 2, my daughters b'day is on the 11th so I really can't be gone that weekend.
Don't change it for one person though, you have a great turnout, so go with it

My two are 13 and 9 - both girls....... that'll give em someone to play with.
Hadn't thought about it. They will probably be at my parent's house most of the time.. just because they like it there... but I can bring them for a while so they can play.
