If you are episodic and the clusters coincide with short days you might want to try light therapy (bright light exposure in morning or at noon).  Light can stimulate the pineal body (source of melatonin), which helps set the circadian rythms.  Works well for seasonal affective disorder, some discussion about this for clusters in previous posts.

Been trying that, but it ain't helping.  Still gettin' hit. I think they're about to have a mutiny at the office. They keep closing my door and not talking to me.

Yesterday was Boss's day and the girl's "sent" me flowers. I think I growled "thanks". Geezzz! I'm ready to get this one broken.

Maybe it is just the season. When I was episodic, this was the time of year I got hit bad. Usually broke sometime in November in time for Thanksgiving (sometimes). But since I've been in remission this is the longest cycle I've had. Guess you tend to forget the damn things and how "aggrivating" they can make your life. Am about ready to go back on the DHE and get them broken, but don't know if I want to go through the crap with the DHE. Maybe I'll wait a little longer and see what happens.

Good grief -- I think I'm whinning today.  Gotta snap outta that!!!!!

Hugs and PFD to you all.   BD

I don't buy the light therapy as a remedy of circadian/Hypothalymus, only because it is sunny here in Las Vegas over 325 days a year and i have only been hit w/ a cycle (end of July to December, mostly Aug/Sep).  Do however believe it is more in the lines of temperature and barometer pressure, as it relates to the season's changing.  What about allergies that are common both Spring and Fall?  has this been polled/tested and tried by a jury of 12?

Hiya!  Smiley

I'm episodic and I know for sure that when fall comes, in some point the ch comes, too... Angry

But, that doesn't mean that ch would stay away the rest of the year, so no! Sad

Luckily there has been days in between so far...

All you filthy chronics go stand in the corner. You're screwing up the Bell Curve.
According to Dr. Marcello Bigal's Writ of Common Wisdom.......... CH cycles are triggered by winter/summer solstices by the _vast_ majority. Fact.
I'm an eqinox kind of guy, once every 3 years. Reckon I'll go hang out with the filthy chronics.

while i have been hit during in summer and winter, the majority of mine have been in either spring or fall.   only weird part is that they are usually 18 months apart.  that's never made sense to me.

Hey grant,

That's a mirror of mine - spring or fall - 18 months apart. 2 times of the year to try not to panic...

FALL in,
RJ

Well that would make sence for me, my first one hit right after the Summer solstice.  But I would really hate to think that my holidays would be the cause of so many people being in pain.

I need to pull out my holistic remedy books and see if there is anythig in there that might help.  I know it sounds crazy but up in Reno, I got pneumonia really really bad (doctor was going to hospitalize me) and ended up buying a pipe from a head shop and started smoking hoarehound and marshmellow root and it cleared it up.  You just never know what might help.  But I am determined now to see if I can find something.  twocents
