Sided. Kip scale 5-6. Shooting pains into the jaw. Both sides of my head are bruised or sore. The one on the right side has been there since Friday afternoon with about 4 breaks of 5-6 hours. The one on the left side just started. HELP. Any suggestions, comments welcom.

What meds are you taking? This sounds like you may be rebounding. Andi

2-3 verapamils per day. The last week I have had to take 4-6 esgics per day. Do you think it could be the esgic's rebounding?

| Elaborate on the 2 - 3 verapamils per day. Verap is a not a "pop one as needed" kind of drug. It is a preventative that needs to be ramped up to and maintained at a certain level to be effective. Esgic is butalbital and acetaminophen - neither of which are effective for stopping a ch attack. If you are popping 4 - 6 of these per day, I would bet you are having a rebound, aka medication overuse headache. The only way to get rid of it is to stop taking the offending med until the headache goes away. Good luck.
