Question 1: am I deluded?

Hi Everybody, It seems to me that use of prednisone on my last cycle, and now kudzu on this cycle, lessens severity but lengthens the cycle. Has anyone else thought their cycle was extended due to meds? Or is this simply another sign of delusions? Also, re: kudzu, if one stops it in a cycle, will it work again if restarted in the same cycle? Thank you all and continued wishes for PFD's David

Every attempt at cause and effect has frustrated me because of the frequency with which the condition morphs. I use pred tapers a lot while wating for my lithium to kick in, I haven't noticed that they extend cycles. I've never tried Kudzu so I'm no help there. I THINK Imitrex may have extended my last cycle considerably.......first cycle I tried it on, worked great but it was my longest cycle ever...over 8 months. Of course this followed my longest remission ever, almost 2 years. So good luck on the cause and effect thing. Hoping your finding relief. Guiseppi

Thanks for your thoughts. Kev, my experience was similar to yours with pred: longest cycle ever at 3 full months, followed by the longest remission ever, 2.5 years. No complaints from me on that long remission...I'm fine with that! Dave

Yes, I've wondered if the meds prolong the cycle too. My early cycles, when I didn't have many meds to use lasted a month to 6 weeks. Now the cycles are longer and so are the remission periods. Rich

I think I am at about 3 months since my first attack. I have learned alot about these things but the more I know, the less I know. Not sure if that statement makes sense to anyone but me
