I happy to say for a week and a half almost I have not had a CH. I thought It was over but i ended up having one tonight! ah! : ( but anyways, during the week and a half and other longer breaks that I have had from CH's, my right eye(the side of my headaches) stays really red for a decent amount of time after the headaches stop(sometimes months)! sometimes it feels sore but it usually does not hurt. i don't know if this is normal and I was just wondering if it happened to any of you?! thanks &love, erica

Erica, My right eye (cluster side) is usually red, puffy and generally stoned looking Even when I'm not getting hit...I don't know if anything is normal with these things.... Peace, kathy

Maybe have someone watch you during very bad attacks. My eye used to get red, and not work very well after my worst attacks. I figured it was the headaches - turned out I was pushing and rubbing that eye with my thumb pretty aggresivly during the waves and didn't realize it until my wife told me what I was doing after the attack.

I never paid attention to my eyes. I'll have to do that, although my headaches are presently suppressed by Verapamil and I'm not up to experimentation. Mostly during bad attacks I close my eyes, even while pacing the house. Hard on the furniture!

Have to agree with Superhawk 2300, my eye also remains red and swollen as a result of me rubbing constantly during CH's.

You know, one thing I noticed with my eye (cluster side) is that I almost look like I have a black eye....I don't know if it's due to the constant rubbing or not, but it didn't look that way before I had the headaches.
