Anyone here on immunothereapy for allergies?

I'm trying to figure out if I should abort my immunotherapy for allergies on the suspicion that it might be keeping my in cycle. Has anyone on immunotherapy managed to go out of cycle without turning to preventative mediacation for help? (Naturally gone out of cycle, but while on immunotherapy.) Has anyone gone out of cycle on preventative medication while on immunotherapy, but then stopped the preventative (continuing immunotherapy) and not slipped back in cycle for your normal length of time? Has anyone on immunotherapy manage to go out of cycle at all? Thanks for your thoughts on this.

I will be in the same position soon. What Immunosupresant therapy will you be on? I haven't heard of going on immunosupressants for allergies... rheumatoid conditions but not allergies What kind of allergies do you have? I have no input for you but would like to know how it goes for you. You probably already know this but if you go on Cimetidine (Tagamet) in addition to your other meds is will screw up EVERYTHING in how your body respond to medicines. Let me know how you are doing, please. JEG

I was getting allergy shots for several years and it never seemer to change my headache cycle. There is some medication you should stay away from while getting the shots or the shots won't be as effective. I think it was the beta blockers but can't remember for sure.

Turtlendog: What misinformation did I give in this post? Your quote wasn't clear. I reviewed my post again and don't see a problem. What is the problem? I am getting this everywhere I go.

| You great medical mind seems to ignore that allergies are immune system related Example: For 5 million years humans lived in an environment full of grass pollen. From this we may conclude that they are not detrimental to our health. Nevertheless, there are people that get life threatening allergies from pollen. Their immune system misconceives the harmless pollen as something very dangerous and over-reacts with the heavy artillery. Please, go away and manifest your medical ignorance somewhere else.

| Maybe I was too quick to dismiss your post because of your "two excedrine migraine" comment in another thread. I'll think about it.

Turtlendog: I misread the topic of Immunotherapy and translated that to Immunosuppresant. At least in my mind... Regardless, I am still interested on what this member's treatment is. Oh yeah, get off my back.
