I am new to this site. I have read quite a few posts since i found it yesterday. My ch's seem to happen at noon and around 6pm everyday during a cycle. I have read alot of posts where people often talk about being woke up with ch's. I can only remember 5-10 times this has happened to me. Most of mine are while I am awake and at work unfortunately. Does anyone else have them while awake and at the same time almost daily.

I had a real bad one today and tuesday, pf on Wed. Hopefully tomorrow will be pain free also. I have an appt. with the Doc on the 12th of Nov.

Hi again Dave!  Good to see you asking questions  Wink

I get hit at work when I'm in cycle too.  I use Oxygen as my primary abortive and keep a c-tank in the car and one in the office.  My backpack has a regulator, non-rebreather mask, 1 energy drink and an Imitrex injection.  With this combination I'm never dealing with a hit for more than half an hour or so.  An hour if I have to resort to the Imitrex injection.

My boss is great about it.  HR has an office I keep the tank in.  I just go there when I need to.  No one bothers me because I gave the people who need to know a copy of the collegue letter here:

Talk to your Dr about Oxygen.  I know you've already heard this in your other thread but I had to repeat it.  The stuff works for an awful lot of folks around here.  I count myself among them.

I hope you get a break soon.

Yes, I've had several cycles where I got hit around 9 pm, I was awake and often out on a date with my then boyfriend, now husband. I've heard of many others who have had daytime attacks while awake at the same time each day. You are not alone. I've also had attacks triggered by certain activities while in cycle. I've been hit about an hour after going for a run.

Hi Dave;

I used to get hit at the same times like clockwork when I first started getting CHs. Often I would get hit in the afternoons, around 3:00, so I arranged a work schedule where I was finishing up my work day by then (I know not everyone can do this, but I was lucky enough to be able to).

Now the CHs come at totally unpredictable times, so it's tougher to manage. I actually liked the schedule, knowing I would be okay in the mornings, but as the day wore on I would have to deal with it. Now it can strike any time, any place, so I always have abortives on hand.

Welcome to the board, it's been a huge help to me and many others.  Smiley

Hi Dave, welcome to the site.

I am a 22 yr fall episodic clusterhead, left side only and yep, mine are like clockwork. I used to get night hits but for whatever reason, those stopped 11 years ago.

Mine come like this: 7 am, 10 am, 2 pm, 4 pm, 7 pm and 9 pm, sometimes with slight variations.  Unless it was a bad day, then I'd get hit for about 45 mins, stop for 5 to 10 mins, then start again.

Definitely check into o2, it has knocked out a hit in about 10 minutes or less. Let us know how it goes with the Dr.

pf time to you,
Jen
