isnt that kinda like russian roulette?
im scared to even smel the stuff.
if it wasnt for CH  i would still be drunk every day like i was for the last 14 years unless i couldnt drink because of the pain.

i finaly gave up the long hard fight when it became debilitating to take a drink.

is it a test?

no offense, just curious and concerned !

Schaan, for those of us who believe a fine micro beer is truly the nectar of the Gods...(such as myself!!!).......downing a beer and not getting hit is the final proof positive the cycle is over. I wait till I've been off meds about a week, and then down a couple...with 02 and trex at the ready!!!!! If that don't wake the beast up, I know he's in hard hibernation and I'm free for a while! It;s just one more way we tell the beast "up yours!" laugh

thanks for the clarification, makes sense to me now.
i LOVE beer and it was the only form of alcohol i could almost not abuse (almost)  i drank vodka and alot of it, and i can honestly say that the pain of my attacks  finaly outweighed the need to be drunk to the point that i have been able to quit.
interestingly enough my first attack was 1/11/2000  i quit drinking 1/11/2005.

I am as well on my second beer and no headache though i had one 2 nights ago, hinting that a cycle is on the start. I try not to let them control my life, as hard as that is  Grin

I do end up not drinking by the middle of the cycle. So ummm 3 days of dinking then none for a awhile. Enjoy your beer and I hope you have a good headache free night.

I found it easier to just stop. the thought of the pain that comes with beer makes me quiver. the fact that beer was a trigger was one of the hardest things for me to accept. I just simply did not want to think that something I love so much was actually causing my pain. In the end I realized I was an addict and was basically forced to give it all up anyway, or continue to spend a lot of time in jails and institutions. Cheesy

I guess on some distorted level I just envy those able to enjoy a few beers, a go on about their lives the next day. I believe along with the ch's, I was also created without a "quitter" so to speak.
