Headaches on both sides??

Interested if anyone esle has experienced this.....
I'm currently coming to the end of my cycle. Historically, at the end of my cycle, I get two CHs a day, 7 days a week until the cycle ends. 99% of my CHs are on my right side, but I have experienced a change as of lately. Since the end of cycle phase has started, the two headaches a day are split between my right and left side. The left side CHs are nothing more than a 4 or 5 and last no longer than 30 minutes. The CH on my right side is the 8-10 which will last 1-4 hours, sometimes longer. I know statistics show that the headaches usually don't switch sides, but this is the first time this has happened to me. Has this happened to anyone else?

I am a right sider. But I have had cycles in the past that have been left sided. I have also had the occational left sider in a right sided cycle. I have read of similar in others. This is not unheard of.

Actually quite a few people have posted that he switches sides! I guess I'm still lucky??? After almost 30 years he's just comfy as hell on my right side.
That being said, does it feel like a regular cluster headache? You should probably at least mention it to your doc and see if he wants to check that side out. Many problems are simpler if caught early. I'd hate to have you take our word that it's "probably" just CH and ignore a small problem that gets big. Always best to let the doc make that decision. Good luck!

I'm a leftie, who's had bit of action on the right side, too. But this cycle has brought more action to the right side for some reason.

I am a righty, but the first year that I got CH (about nine years ago) I had it switch hitting on me during the same cycle and sometimes during the same attack  But if I remember correctly that was the only year like that...
I like getting some action but not like that!

two nights ago was the 1st time id been hit BOTH SIDES AT ONCE ! i really thought my head was gonna explode........
since then its back on the right side but with a twinge or 2 on the left..

This thread reassures me.. makes me feel more normal! My right side is my bad side, but I have intermittent pain on my left as well. I've also been slammed both sides at once.

two sided ice pack hmmmm.... my ice pack is a t-shirt with about 10 to 15 ice cubes in it i walk to the garage and bash it on the floor that is fun too even thought my head is hurting i still giggle every time i bust the ice up. if i ever get a two sided monster then i will try to do a 2 t-shirt combo. wow i am sorry that you are getting beat up from both sides. gl and i am praying for you too.

I ping ponged recently (and I'm predominately a right sider) and the doc ordered a contrast/non contrast mri just to be on the safe side. Everything looked fine except I had some minor swelling in my left sinus) doc and I believe that was triggering my left side hits, hence the ping ponging.
But tell your doc, just to be safe, that's why we mri'ed just to be on the safe side.

Tara Ann! The same is happening to me, I'm ping-ponging in a MAJOR way, which is weeeeird. CONSTANT ping-ponging. Is that what you've been experiencing? Back and forth constantly throughout the day/night? And actually, what's interesting is my CTscan showed a blockage in my left sinus (mucus)... I wonder if the same thing is happening to me that they think is happening to you.. maybe that is triggering the left side hits (I'm usually a right-sider as well). Anyways, interesting. If you happen to know any more or find any more out, give me a shout, I'd appreciate it. I find it REALLY odd that I'm switching sides like this lately.. it's crazy. Anyways, PF wishes!!! I hope your ping-ponging stops soon! Not that one side is much better than two
