| Welcome, Jules86. Best thing to do for your first post, in order to introduce yourself and so forth, is to hit the link for the "Getting to Know You" board, go to the top where it says, "start new topic", and hit the link. Put a subject at the top, and go from there. Again, welcome. Best, George

Ah! The foreigners put on such airs Wearing the tangerine suits And their harlequin eyes. The pain they inspire Draws in harmonica melodies And the feathers of birds Which flame up at their touch. It all comes to light in the sheer Debonair. (Ellen)

We Yanks call this Amerge (Naratriptan). It is available in two strengths, and only in pill form. It is too slow as an oral medication to be of much use in Cluster headaches. Most of us, who use drugs in this class, use Imitrex injectables, or a nasal spray. They work quickly. Your milage may vary, Ray

Though it appears to not be a great abortive for clusters it does appear to have preventative qualities and quite a few use this med to geth throughh an event or a shift of work.

If your talking about Amerge, i've used it several times. There is a couple of problems with it. It has been a savior for me more than once, but if you don't take it right away as soon as you feel a CH attack coming it'll be too late and not work. Plus if you take one, and it doesn't work, you cannot take a shot of Trex so you're stuck riding the CH attack out until it's over. Never mix triptans.

Thanks. That makes a lot of sense. The golden question is 'How long does it take (approx) for Naramig to kick in?
