I am due to travel to France and I want to take some seeds in my luggage. Am I risking a dog sniffing this out and getting arrested?

I don't know how customs works, but I would be more concerned about agricultural restrictions. Most countries have restrictions regarding plants, seeds, etc. I don't know if a drug dog could distinguish them from any other seeds.

Few places have restrictions against possessing the RC seeds. There is nothing illegal about having them in most places. You would have to verify this with local governments. It is however illegal to consume them in many places, including the USA There are many well enforced laws regarding importation of seeds, fruits and vegetables in every country state and border throughout the world. The seeds could be subject to seizure and quarantine. Morning glories of many varieties are grown around the world for their beautifull flowers.

As someone who travels herself I can only echo Nani's point - they're going to be more bothered about you bringing in seeds of any description. You can get them here in England, how long will you be here? Would it be worth ordering some to send them to where you'll be staying? It might be worth reading posting guidelines on www.iamshaman.com or some such site about whether they can send them to France or not - that might give you more background. Sorry I can't be more help Helen

Even if there were no restrictions in place for possessing in the EU, its most likely you will not be permitted to bring anything like that from outside the EU. Check page 17 onwards of this doc: http://www.defra.gov.uk/planth/publicat/importer/impguide.pdf Hope this is helpful, N

I can't remember who told me this, but I think it's a great idea. You are allowed to bring "munchies" to eat while in flight, I think. Get a box of trail mix, pour your seeds in and mix well. Munch away during the flight, just don't consume the whole box. When you get there, dump the trail mix left over and get your seeds. Haven't tried it myself yet, but why wouldn't that work? Sandy
