How often are doctor offices allowed to give free samples to patients especially triptans like imitrex, zomig and maxalt?

I was getting a lot from my doctor. Ask if he has any 4mg Imitrex Stat Injections. He seemed to have a lot of these and they are perfect for CH.

It obvious that things are different in the US compared to Oz.
The only time you will get free samples from a Doc here is if the Doc is on the take from the drug company or they genuinely do have some samples of a new product.
I have to wait a week to see my Doc to get a script for Imigran (Sumatriptan) and when you compare the cost of the medication against the cost of a visit to the Doc I wouldn’t be fronting up for some freebies to often; a visit to the Doc here is $80 Aus & Imigran tabs are $10 Aus each, if I was to keep going back to my Doc for freebies it would become an expensive exercise.

That's how I get all my Imitrex ... free samples. My neuro's are sooo good to me  I get free samples everytime I go and everytime I call saying I need more I can just stop in and pick it up. There is a god !!
