Interesting study

I heard of a study done (Sorry forgot by who and I leave here in 4 min so I don't have time to look it up) that said people who have any kind of headache were more likely to have better memory retention that people who don't get headaches.  It was just headaches in general, but just wondered if there were some in here who had better than average memory retention.  We were suprised to hear this because my BF who has CH actually has pretty close to a photographic memory.  Thoughts?

Also, he used to be able to "fight off" his headaches by thinking about things that made him so happy he fealt like crying.  I thought maybe it was seratonin release (Which for a time I though extacy would help clusters).  Has anyone else been able to fight off clusters by doing that?  I asked him if he thought about me, and he said "Honestly, no, I had to think about Ollie (the dog)" hahahaha

Well judging from your boy friends response regarding his happy place, he is either:

A: the bravest man I've ever known

B: the most foolish!!!!! (I would have lied Grin)

I actually have an extremely poor memory, short term and long term. I'm 47, male and have had ch almost 30 years. I've seen some postings regarding memory issues but most of those related to problems with meds we take, most commonly the complaints of topomax, (aka Dopeymax!)

We do appreciate our supporters, you guys are gold. If my wife hadn't done the research to find this site I shudder to think where I'd be today! Thanks for all you do for your ch'er.
