Please say it's not...

Hi everyone! I'm a migraine sufferer who's often read about the experiences of those with clusters and thanked Heaven that I didn't have to endure that. However, starting a couple nights ago, I'm wondering if, and praying not, it's started hitting me...

Because I woke up at 2, and by 2:15... full-blown nasty... thing. It's kinda of a headache on the crucial scale, kind of eye pain. Almost like my eye felt when it got infected once. I don't know how to explain it. And it's watering nonstop. And my nose is leaking out of that side... a steady stream at times. It was all normal when I went to bed. And it happened again one more time that night. When I woke up, all was normal. No sign even of the nastiness that was my eye just hours before. No headache. No eye pain. No running nose.

And I'm hoping beyond hope I'm wrong. But I'm not sure. I was anxious... very anxious. All I did was pace my room. UGH! But I snapped a pic b/c if you say I'm right, it's gonna help to have a pic to show the doc. If I'm wrong, well then damnit, I still want a pic to show him so I can figure out what in Hades blew me away last night.

Sooooo... the attached pic... please tell me that doesn't LOOK like a cluster to you. Please?!? Cuz I really don't want it to be. I know you're not docs and can't diagnosis (and I wouldn't want one from the internet anyways! LOL), but I want to get opinions before I see my doc (I'm calling no matter what) so I don't sound like some crazy hypochondriac... Thanks!

Well, I'm afraid it kinda does to me.  Undecided
Start keeping a Headache diary, to include time of day, pain intensity, duration, etc. Bring that to the doc next time. There's a cluster quiz over on the left, you can fill it out and see what it says, too.
Good luck and pain free wishes, nani

Over to the left there is a cluster quiz.

Take that and then get back here with the results.

Thanks everyone! I know you're not docs and can't dx... I was just hoping to get opinons on it before calling the doc. I don't want to sound like some crazy hypochondriac to him...

I have been keeping a headache journal, and it is marked that this is WAY different than any of the migraines or tension headaches. So we'll see...

As for the clock-work timing. The last few nights seems pretty consistent at 2 and 4am. But I don't think just a few nights is long enough yet to really classify the problem... But they've all hit that left eye so far.

Thanks for your input!

Hi Seekinganswers,

Sorry you had to come here, like they said above take the quiz, print it and other inf.from this site and bring it to a good neuo.(if you dont have one)post back,i am sure you will get help on that...
1) not all people who have this condition get hit with the clock type attacks.

2) We are not docs and should not try to diagose you

3) the best thing you can do is read (there is so much inf.on this site) and print it take it with you to your next doc app....

I hope you dont have C.H.... but if you do,its not the end of the world, you'll do just fine...wishing you many PFDAN....Lenny

BTW...if it turns out that you have C.H.....you found a great home with great support
