I have gotten bendryl IV in thepast and it made me VERY anxious.  Made me about want to jump out of my skin.  It was about the most awful feeling, the doc asked if I had ADD cause I guess ppl with ADD have the opposite affect than most other ppl, instead of drowsy, they are anxious and wide awake.  I was given the benedryl to make me sleepy.

Ok my thoughts here are do you all think melatonin will do the same thing to me?  Has anyone else had this same affect with benedryl and then tried melatonin?  When I say that the feeling I had with benedryl was awful I truly mean it so I am afraid of repeating it!  I repeated it too many times with benedryl before we realized it was the benedrly that was causing it!

Ok done with my ramble TIA for any ideas/comments!

Since melatonin is a substance that's naturally present in the body, I don't see how it could affect you that way.

Benedryl and melatonin are not chemically related, either.

The pain they inspire
Draws in harmonica melodies
And the feathers of birds
Which flame up at their touch.
It all comes to light in the sheer
Debonair.

If you decide to use melatonin, take it about 2 hours before you would like to go to sleep.

Star with 3 mg, if that doesn't work, you can go all the way up to about 12 mg, but if taken about 2 hours before bed, you shouldn't have to use that much.

Dr. Tepper suggested per Todd Rozen that going upwards of 18-20 when 12 wasn't effective Shocked

It killed my night time attacks for over a year.
