Has anyone had this happen to them?

Hi everyone. I'm new here & posted on the getting to know you section last week under ~my first post~. I have a question.... Has anyone had this happen to them? I had a tooth pulled last Thursday & the doc gave me a script for Vicodin. Before I was diagnosed with CH, I was given codine ALL THE TIME....& of course it NEVER did a darn thing. I did get the script filled, but was hesitant to take the Vicodin (I just didn't want to make things worse). I did end up taking one Friday morning & got a CH about 30 min. later, it lasted 90 min. but the strange thing was... I did not feel the normal pain, I felt the stabbing but it was dull, my eye was running, & I could tell that the pain should have been really bad, but I could just lay there (very strange, as usually I rolling around & banging my head, screaming). I did have a few more CH's that day & did not take anymore Vicodine. I took one before bed & slept all night & have not had a CH since Friday.... Usually when I'm in a cycle, I do not get breaks of more then a few hrs. until the cycle ends... but I have 3 great PF nights now.... Maybe the Vicodine is to contribute? Gust wondering if this has happened to anyone. Aneta

I was given Vicodain early on when my doctor was still trying to figure out what my problem was. It didn't help with the CH pain. Back then I wasn't keeping accurate headache records so I'm not really sure if it affected the cycle. More recently I took Vicodain for a knee surgery. I was on cycle at the time, taking my lithium as a prevent, and it didn't appear to have any significant affect on the cycle. That being said be really careful with that stuff. After my knee surgery I really started to like the Vicodain A LOT!!! If you're at all prone to addiciton it's one you need to be really careful with. Most who have used any of the schedule II stuff don't find any real benefit. Hoping you get some relief soon. Guiseppi

Wow, that's great! My cycle ends with a couple of random sputters, let me know how yours works out. If you are so inclined, and PF for a week, perhaps a beer test is in order. Jon

Aneta, sorry to hear that you're still getting hits. I"ve become convinced that each cycle contains some number of hits, and I just need to hang on until the ride is over. My last hit is after PF several days. I figure its over after 7-10days PF. A beer test convinces me that it is over. But I'm glad you got hooked up with O2. For me, the hits were definitely shorter, and a step or two lower intensity. And fewer side effects than ANY alternative. Magic! Keep us posted...
