finally got a verbal diagnosis

the neuro gave me a verbal diagnosis of ch, but not typical ch, based on verapamil helping, and paroxysmal hemicrania and sunct are still possibilities. I am doing fairly well on 320 mg verapamil, 100 mg indocin, and daily kudzu. I still get hit every 2 hours or more, but some low cycles are so low that it feels pf. During the high cycles, maxalt melt helps. Of course, sometimes nothing helps. But I am doing so much better. I just wanted to share the news. I had 5 pf days in April. Charlotte

Hi Charlotte I must say that getting hit every two hours would have me running for cover. It seems that it takes a lot of experimentation to figure what really works. I'm on 720 mg Verapimil in 3 equal doses and it seems to be helping although I have only been taking it for a week and a half so it may be to early to make a call on it. Never the less between that and Taurine I'm managing a lot of PF days. There also seems to be a general opinion here that kudzu intereferes with other meds but i'm sure that some more learned people will be able to comment on that. Wayne

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

That is good news your doing better and I am glad to hear it. Keep up the fight and hope to see you again one of these days. It helps to get some form of diagnosis. Even if it is vague. all the best to you and yours jb
