Calling Brewcrew.....

I saw my neuro this morning and asked him the question that you wanted to know about.  He told me that he often mixes Triptans Zomig with Imitrex and Amerge with Imitrex, Migranal with Imitrex etc. all the time.

He did state not to use more then 2 in a 24 hr period.  Now I have also used 3 a couple of times when the cycle was in full swing and didn't have a problem and I have been told that I have angina. That was with a different neuro.

I am going to give Topamax a try at a lower dose.  25 mgs to start then 25 mgs 2x's a day then 25 mgs 3 times a day and hold at 100 mgs a day until the cycle is broke then wean off.  This is one of the drugs that I haven't tried.  He also told me to stay with the Imitrex 100 mg pill with 1 mg of Klonopin at night and if need be I can use another one during the day if the O2 won't knock it out.

I'm hoping that this will not extend my cycle.

Good. You found out what you needed to know. Best of luck as you narrow down what works and what doesn't.

It's my understanding that if you have angina, you will know it. Angina, by definition, is painful: "Any attack of painful spasms characterized by sensations of choking or suffocating."

Good luck. And don't be afraid to cart that O2 bottle around with you. If you're going to be near the car, just leave it in there.
