I hate to talk badly about something that helped me so much. But...
My last bout I was put on a combo of steroids and a high dose of depekote. It was like a miracle. But after being on the depekote for a couple months, I have develpoed a heart problem and a horrible anxiety conditiion and am beginning to wonder if maybe I have become bipolar. Which is what Depekote is Intended to treat. The six months sice I have stopped taking this miracle worker have been a living hell (although much better than the headaches). I was wondering if anyone has had a similar experience?

Grin Grin Not trying to correct you, but Depakote is an anti convulsant and seizure medication, not an anti depressant?

I know, I have just always heard it in reference to bipolar disorder. Either way as soon as I stopped taking it I have had all kinds of mentally related problems.

Grin I quit the Meds I was taking about 3 years ago and have been suffering severe depression ever since.  I have wondered if the way I stopped triggered some sort of depressive episode, since I have never really suffered from depression before, its become harder to deal with than the Clusters!  Pappy

My neuro has been attempting to try Depakote on me for some time now to treat chronic CH.

When I researched the potential side effects of this drug, I immediately said no-thanks doc. - I like my chances with CH.

I've dinked around with a lot of meds. over the years that I had concerns about - but Depakote scared the will to experiment right out of me.

Would the owner of the propane torch, egg beater, pipe expander and vise grips please claim these items. They're lodged in my head and I need the space.
