Bummer to be back...

I mean, not that you folks are bummers - you're all great and super-supportive.  I just haven't posted in the past 3 relatively pain-free years, preferring denial of the whole cluster mess.

But, alas, that seems to have changed.  January to February has always been my "episode window".  The past couple years always saw a few shadows around late winter, but never anything above a 3 on the Kip scale.  I was hoping for the same this year, but the shadows have been getting more intense the past couple days...and today i just got my first 5 Kip headache in 3 years, with full on watery eye and runny nose.

Maybe all the traveling I've been doing across time zones recently has pushed my biorhythms over the edge...anyone else had a cycle start from jet lag?  I only ask since the circadian rhythm part of the brain (the hypothalamus) has been suggested as a focal point in a lot of the cluster literature.

Better stock up on some frova, though, since that worked pretty well before.  I'm gonna try to do the wheat-free detox thing again - it's what finally broke the cycle for me 3 years ago.  Still, I've had the "what-broke-the-last-cycle-won't-work-this-cycle" experience...I swear, it's like a virus building up an immunity.

Welcome back, sorry you have to join the crew again. Have you tried oxygen as an abortive? Cheap, easy to use, no side effects and pretty effective for many of us.

I know what you mean about being away from the board. Used to be when I was off cycle I was convinced even thinking about a headache would start a cycle! Now Linda Howell sends gnomes to my house if I don't post. Grin

Hoping you find relief and maybe it'll be a short cycly!

Sorry you had to come back but glad you did.
Sure hope it’s a short cycle for you and you get PF soon, hang in there and we will keep the light on for you.
