sleep question??

I am returning to question my dear friends. I have not been here to post(..but have been to keep myself updated for my dear husband) since April. My question is.....anyone had an episode of waking at the same time every night for several weeks prior to the onset of a new cycle? Jim has been waking at 3:00AM every night ,not able to get back to sleep.(going into his 3rd week) No clusters since April. He has had shadows (occasionally) since April. I was hoping he would skip a second cycle and be one of those lucky souls that either was hit once a year or once a decade! This very well could be something else, but thought it odd on the timing (thinking if he was going to cycle it should be about now) and thought I would post and ask. I did search for an hour in the other threads but found nothing. Thanks folks! Ida (aka Lizah)

Ida, Have him start on Melatonin (9-12mg) before bedtime. This may help. Hugs BD

Thanks All! Will do, as he is really starting to look old and run down! Has anyone experienced this type of sleep trouble PRIOR to the start of a cycle? Wondering if this is a type of warning "better start your Kudzu cuz the beast is a comin"?????

| My husband splits the above dose between Melatonin and Time Release Melatonin.

I had been going through what seems to be the same exact thing you are describing for the last 3-4 weeks as well until last Thurs when my first k-10 hit in quite a long time. Like you said, a few shadows here and there but nothing big. I 100% agree with evry thing they have said about the melatonin; it has never done anything but good for me. Pfunk

Bummer PFunk! But thank you so much for reading and responding to my post. My gut was telling me this is weird, and that it must be pre cycle type of thing going on. I gave him some Melotonin last night and will continue. Pain free wishes for all of you who have taken the time to help! Ida
