Sleep Info holds the great answer

CH's and tiredness seem to co-exist together although who knows which causes which. Coffee, caffeine and energy drinks can abort CH's. Afternoon naps can trigger CH's. It seems that there's a definate connection between sleep and CH's. Who knows, maybe that's where the great mystery of what causes CH lies. Maybe one day they'll find out. There seem to be lots of clues there for any doctor who can be bothered.

Sleep is my enemy UNsolved REM sleep stage has a direct connection with CH attacks, as it triggers an attack for many. Also, many of us have sleep apnea, which reduces the amount of O2 to the brain when the O2 saturation levels fall. PS. 1 Hypothalamus for sale. Slightly damaged but hardly ever used.

| Maybe bad hypothalamus, but decrease in breathing/oxygen rate during sleep a definite factor IMO. John

Try some melatonin (9-15mg) before bedtime. This will get you thru the REM sleep (most of the time). Keeps down the exhaustion. Hugs BD

Hypothalmus controls seratonin (sp?). It kicks in during REM sleep. Broken Hypothalmus=busted brain chemicals=cluster headache. Welcome to the board Image. Stay stressed. Never relax. Never sleep. Ever.

Giovanni 37, me 37 (diagnosed) Sean 13, Jasper 3. How the hell do we find anything common in that?! My personal belief is something triggers it as for coeliac diasease, diabetes and so on. I think CH is something that lies dormant until something kicks it off.

| Except that you will never be able to find things that are lost. A uterus is mandatory for that. It works on the same principle as a homing device. And just because a woman has her uterus removed doesn't mean she loses her ability to find things. It's in the DNA. Hence, transgender "women" still need a real woman to help find things. This is all true. My wife told me so. Now where did I put my goddamned keys?
