Hi Brian, Don't worry. We saw it there. Most of us check all the areas looking out for new people. I'm sure you'll get some valuable responses. I don't medicate, so I'm not the best person to respond to your queries--but there will be others, I'm sure, whose answers will be more to the point. Best wishes, and welcome, George

| Won't. But I'm not the only one, chop. It all depends on what is the best decision for a particular person. For some, choosing to medicate is not an option--their CH is simply too tenacious and too disabling to do anything else. Others (like me) have had the experience that medication itself has extended cycles or increased the frequency of hits, and have chosen not to medicate. This point has been discussed several times in recent threads. You and I have talked about this before, for that matter. I don't advocate either way. For me, the best choice was to cease treating them aggressively. For others, for whatever reason, that is not an option--or, perhaps, their experience with medication has been more positive. I don't discuss more contemporary treatments for CH, because I simply don't use them, and have no experience with them. We can make the choice not to medicate with this condition--it won't kill us outright if untreated. People have lived with this, unmedicated, for thousands of years. For some of us, it's been the better choice. For others, of course, that is not true. Best wishes, George

I fully agree with GeorgeJ on this matter! What are you going to do when the Verapamil stops working, thats what happened to me. when you reach the point of making a decision based on result of the med's, its a personal thing. Been through %98 of all the medications and I find it much easier to deal with them and then move on, with some med's your consumed with worry about getting to the medication when needed and keeping the Pill schedule! I had to ask myself, is it worth all the side affects to try for a treatment at all, when nothing has worked? So its Med free for me! Hurrah! Pappy

George and Pappy, I agree with you guys, I have learnt over the years that the least meds the better. I still use Verap, but stop them when ever I can. I must have tried nearly everything on the list, but now find less is best. Mind you having said that, I swear by my O2. As you say though---- every one is different, I least I don't feel like a guinea pig any more. PF wishes to all Cheers Roy
