Whiney whiney whiney......

I need to whine a little. Most of you know I'm chronic and chronics have high cycles and low cycles. Right now I'm in the midst of a HIGH cycle and ready to KILL something.....
I wake up with a shadow and hit the coffee or Red Bull (whichever one I get to first) and usually abort (for a while). Then, just when I think it's safe to go out again - Wham!!!! here we go again!!!!!
I HATE to take meds, but lately I've been hitting the cafergot pretty regularly. Right now, I've got some "serious" shadows that don't seem to want to leave me alone. Done the Red Bull. O2 and the coffee too, but it's just hanging on .... About another 2 rungs on the Kip scale and it's back to the cafergot.
Melatonin is helping at night (along with the cafergot) but between shadows and ice pick hits, I'm a nervous wreck.
The damn barometer is changing hourly and my head right along with it. When it settles down, so will I, but right now I'm a mess.
Right now I'm trying to cook dinner for my little Caleb (about time to pick him up at school -- guess I'll wear the sunglasses AGAIN!) and his parents (it's a late night for them at work so Granny cooks dinner). I can't even think "how" to put a dinner together right now -- That's BAD! Got a chicken boiling and I think I was planning to make some dumplins but really don't give a damn if anyone eats or not.
I just HATE to be like this and know I will get over it, but just don't have any patience.
Ok, whiney time is over. I'm going to get Caleb at school now and get my s*(() together. Just needed to blow off some steam.

I'm sorry. I had one of those hits that will not die yesterday and it was hateful. So far today, two hits both aborted easily with o2. Thats the good news, high cycles DO end, I hope yours is soon. Boil some rice to go with that chicken, chuck in a can of mushroom soup and call it risotto. It won't kill em and it isn't too much work for you.
Hang in there, you can do it (and that was a KILLER comment on the other thread! I'm in AWE!)

Sure hope your day gets better, just hit the drive through or call out for pizza and take it easy, I am sure the little one wont mind fast food.

You're not whining - just letting out some of the frustration of dealing with this nightmare.
All I can say is that I understand. I ran at the high end of my cycles all spring and summer and was ready to explode. Now into the lower end of them - not perfect but more liveable.
I can only wish you a rapid trip back to the low side of your cycles. Hang in there and be well.

If need be, set the chicken in the back corner of the stove to cool off and use later in some sort of dish, use the plastic to call in a deliver or pick up order of some kind of food, concentrate and getting through the high cycle hits and loving your grandkid, and to hell with preconceived obligations. Your only obligation here is what you choose - to be there for the kiddo and to feed him, and to get through it.

I'm not chronic, but I know about the pain and I know that it's ok to vent sometimes and this is the right place because people here really do "feel your pain". I hope things get better for you.

From another chronic in high cycle-my husband actually complained that he was tired of pizza-I had to leave the room to not say the very first words that came to mind-when I cooled down-the next day-I explained to him that I am not on vacation, but in pain-and if he would like something other than pizza when I'm getting hit-he can get creative in the kitchen and fix something-and I don't give a rats' fanny what it is as long as he and Mikey (9 yrs old-doesn't mind pizza-gotta love him) get at least two of the food groups-not counting sugar and fat.
Am not expecting a big card for mothers day-by the way-
