This kind of relates to Giovanni's post about tooth pain and CH. The back of my mouth and my throat sometimes hurt when I'm having a bad CH and I wonder if it is coming from the same nerve that causes the headache....the trigeminal nerve or whatever it's called. I have heard others complain about their teeth hurting or being tender while suffering from a headache also. Besides cluster headaches, I think the worst pains I have experienced have been toothaches and earaches and my theory is that they hurt so much because they are happening so close to the brain, the center of sensation and feeling. That's my theory and I'm sticking to it. And no, I'm not a doctor. Rich

You may be right, Rich.....for the simple reason that not everyone has the teeth pain associated with CH. Who knows, nothing is ever clear when dealing with this bitch of a pain.

It is up to YOU to educate yourself and then help your doctor plan your treatment. If you just sit down in front of your doctor and say "make me better" you are setting yourself up for a great deal of pain.
