Day 5

Well, I have been drug and pain free for 5 nights and I hope Freddy has left.  I would really like a beer but I am chicken to try.  Thanks to everyone for the good advice.  I have a note on the calenday for August of next year to get a doctor's appointment to try oxygen.  I had been taking gravol nightly to stop Freddy's visit.  I will try oxygen next time around.  Do you think a necklace of garlic would stop Freddy from crawling into bed with me or would that just cause the husband to sleep downstairs and leave room for Freddy?   Huh Grin

Love the jokes on this site, well worth the read.  I wish for pain free nights for all.

Dee Grin, Does not drinking a beer stop Freddy from creeping into your room? Roll Eyes

beer just causes Freddy to come over when I am drinking instead of the usual night time visit.

that last post did not make sense.  When I drink, I get a CH.  I don't normally get the HA during the day, usually just at night, sometimes 2 to 3 or wake up in the morning with the 3rd.  I would really like a beer to see if the CH's are gone but I am too chicken because I don't want a HA.  Beer must wait.

Don't feel so bad, hon - I've been afraid to have a drink since mid-January. I have been pain free since August 21, but I don't want to mess with a good thing.

The beer (or in my case, scotch) can wait. I like pain free better than I like scotch.

I usually do the "beer test" when I've gone seven days without a hit or a shadow.  Others wait longer.  But hey, I'm a thrill seeker.   Grin

Like georgej says, be a thrill seeker.  If it catches you, don't be a thrill seeker.

I love brandy, or Riunite Lambrusco, but my limit is tablespoon on the brandy, 3 tablespoon on the lambrusco.

All I was saying is that I had become a recluse during cycle. I stop drinking my beer, but I refused to let go of the gigarettes and the hits kept coming. I just thought that if I am going to get my head knocked around anyway maybe I can have my 1 beer. I couldn't tell the difference, but I just had 1 beer. I am tired of half living with these CH's, and am trying to take BACK my life. To each his/her own. Undecided

Jobette - my post was unclear not yours.  You posted in between mine.  I sent my second one thinking it was next.  Sorry for the confusion.

Thank you Dee, and I am sorry too for the confusion. But I don't want people to stop living as I did. I have found that some things are going to just be, and I think WE of all people deserve something good in our lives. I think we should be able to enjoy SOME things in this life after the pain that we have to deal with. Please know that I am on your side, and I sure don't want to tell you nothing wrong. Kiss  I too am here to TRY and help and also to be helped. I think "Ain't it hard enough just being a woman, why do I have to be a Clusterhead Splittail?"  laugh

Hi, I did try a 1/2 glass of home made wine (our first batch) last night.  I didn't really enjoy it, I was waiting for the after affects.  Nothing.  I do believe I am done the cycle.  I wish the same for everyone else.  I will enjoy the beer tonight.

Cheesy Let this be your decision to live in a cycle and out of cycle. Don't get drunk and take it slow, but don't you want to know for sure IF beer is a trigger, because I really don't think it is for me.  Undecided I pray that you are out of your cycle, but don't push it. But what is life if you can't live it and enjoy somethings. Kiss
