3 days almost free

Hello All , I have had 3 days with little to no pain and I thought that I was going out of this cycle only to have the pain to switch to the other side . It didn't stay on that side but for a couple of days and now it is back on the right side. The worse pain is at sleep time (I am a shift worker) about an hour or so after I have fallen asleep. Oxygen is my friend, and I am still taking the verapimil, and I seem to be able to control these with the imitrex tabs when I catch them in time, but I am wondering could I be going into a different cycle or could this be the same one. I have been in this cycle since late June and I was welcoming the end.

Hello Jobette, Don't know about your cycles, but agree with the worst pain being at sleep time. By the time ya wake up, it's already got a running start. Didn't notice, are you chronic or episodic? Mine usually last around 6-8 weeks and then the beast bothers somebody else for 1 or 2 yrs. Hope somebody else posts about your cycle. Pain Free Wishes your way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Carl

I am an episodic. It usually last about 2 to 3 months and leaves for app 3 months. I really feel that some of the meds make them stay longer but that is just me thinking.

| Jobette, I've switched sides during several cycles, sometimes sides switching took place with no PF days/nighs in between, and sometimes I spent 2-3 weeks PF, thinking that the cycle was over, and suddenly a new cycle or a continuation of the previous one began on the other side of my head. What I've noticed is that the total amount of time (when both sides of my head were hitted) was almost equal to a common one-sided cycle, which in my case it makes me dance with the beast during 4 months or so.

I know that by now that I should just welcome PF days, but... as always I am looking forward to my remission. Sometimes when I see posts of a few days PF and people are happy because they think the end is near, and we are all hoping or wishing for the same things, but.. I guess I am just tired. I have been doing this a long time and my body and mind is just tired.
