Right or Left side...........

Just wondering how many people suffer CH on the right side compared to the left.My attacks are ALWAYS on the right side.It would be interesting to get a poll and see the results.Take care everyone.

p.s. going to bed soon and Im scared because I know what going to happen at 2am.Last night it was an 8 on the Kip scale.

Biggest thing is--don't be afraid. What's the phrase? Fear is the mindkiller. CH won't kill us, but our reaction to it can, or it can at least make us more miserable than we need to be.

Right sider since about 1966 but this is my first cycle since 1987. There is hope for pain free time.
William, I sure understand about being afraid to go to bed. I usually get hit at night or when I first get up. What meds are you on?

Right sided ( & episodic ) for 12 years
Left sided ( & now chronic ) for past 6 years.
I could still have one on either side, but it's very rare for me to have one on the right side now.

Hi everyone,
I didnt know someone posted this question in the past already.I always thought that if it was more common in one side that the doctors/researchers might have something to go by.Oh well...dare to dream as they say.To answer Big Guy's question,Im not on any meds.I tried Imitrex 5 years ago and had a bad reaction to it.My neck swelled up and made it hard for me to breath.Its too bad because I notice on the boards here that it works well for people.I get by with ice packs and warm showers.I had another CH this time at 2:30am.It was about a 5 on the Kip scale.Not to bad but still woke me up from a deep sleep.Thanks to George,Charlotte,Big Guy and the rest of you for your posts.Its nice to know your out there.Thank you!!

right side always but seems that anytime I have anything like CH or Migraines etc it is always on the right side. I have had migraines since age 5 and started with the CH's When I turned 25.

right most of the time -
sometimes comes on the left, but if it does , then as soon as its gone it comes back on the right.
lefts are k10 every time for me

I am mostly right sided, but have got some hits on the left. The ones on the left have never hit a kip 10, however I have had more than enough kip 10's, mostly when I first went chronic, but have had a few this cycle too.
Right handed also.
I have also read on a clustergroup on myspace about some people who have other chronic physical pains. It seems it is all on the primary cluster side. My right shoulder, side and leg always hurt, and my right leg craps out at least twice a year for a period.
