Neighbor thinks he has CH

During last night's Tropical Storm party at one of my neighbor's house, another neighbor started explaining why he wasn't having a drink. He said that for the past year or so he gets nasty headaches within minutes of drinking any alcohol. He said that he'd been researching and thinks he has CH. I asked him a couple of questions and told him I didn't think he had CH, and that I have CH and know the symptoms quite well. He's in his 40s, healthy and no history of headaches. His pain is in both temples, behind the eye, no drooping eyelids, no runny nose, doesn't get it while he sleeps, only after he drinks. Any ideas? BTW: the storm was a dud. Everything is back to normal here in S. Florida very quickly.

sounds like an alergy to alcohol, similar to diabetics allergy to sugar.

Having lived with these boogers for more than 20 yrs now, I really find it hard to understand why people are so quick to want to be labeled a CLUSTERHEAD. If it were me and I only got these "headaches" after a drink, I think I would back off the drinks first, before I would even think of having to take all the shit that most of us have to take.

If I had a dime for every time someone told me they had CH or knew someone with it and it wasn't CH... I'd be living LARGE! Peace, Carl

I wish that none of us had to deal with this. I sure as heck wish.... Hell if I could wish anything, I would wish this cluster headache syndrome away.

| you are dangerous. your information is incorrect and you should stop giving it out. diabetics are not allergic to sugar you idiot. diabetes is the bodys inability to regulate its own sugar levels. seriously mate - your gonna end up giving some bum info to someone and get them ill or in a load of trouble.

If he gets nasty headaches within minutes of drinking any alcohol, he shoudn't drink alcohol. This is by far less complicated and not a great effort compared to all we have to do in order to tolerate CH.
